How Do I Use The Twitter Content App in CMS V2?

The Twitter content app gives you the ability to add your Twitter account and showcase different tweets that you have sent out or re-tweeted.

What You’ll Need

A compatible digital signage player e.g. Xhibit, BrightSign, etc. XhibitSignage Software with a supported feature package. Internet connectivity and access to Twitter and the content app.

Using the Twitter Content App

1. Hover over the “MEDIA” tab, and click “ADD MEDIA”.
2. Click on the “SOCIAL” category.
3. Click the “TWITTER” app.

1. Enter your Twitter User ID.
2. Choose from one of the 5 themes.
3. Choose how often XhibitSignage checks your twitter account for new tweets. It is set to refresh every 60 minutes by default.
4. Select how many tweets you want to showcase from your account

1. Click “ADVANCED SETTINGS” to further customize your Twitter feed
2. Advanced Settings changes include:
   1. Title font color, size, and type.
   2. Twitter handle font color, size, and type.
   3. Twitter time font color, size, and type.
   4. Tweet text font color, size, and type.
   5. Tweet text link font color, size, and type.
   6. Background color
   7. Transition
   8. Transition Speed (in secs)
3. Click “OK” to save all of your changes to your Twitter feed.

1. Click “PREVIEW” to see a preview of your changes to your Twitter feed.
2. Add a name/title for your Twitter app.
3. Click “SAVE” to add your Twitter app to your Media Library.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I use Hashtags?
   1. The Twitter content app does not support hashtag usage.
2. Do i need a password to use my Twitter User name?
   1. You do not need to use your password to sign in with your Twitter Username to use the Twitter app.
3. Does the app scale inside my template or on my screen?
   1. Yes the Twitter app does scale to fit the zone in your screen.
4. Can I show mentions?
   1. The Twitter app does not support mentions.
