RTSP on your BrightSign Player
BrightSign Flex devices have the capability to display RTSP streaming video through the use of the HTML/CSS Content App. The following are instructions to make use of this functionality. This is a great way to stream media onto your digital signage displays.
What You’ll Need:
- Mvix CMS or Mvix Signage account and access to the account.
- BrightSign player
- Internet Access
Publishing Real-Time Video Streaming (RTSP)
- From the Add Media module, (1) access the General Apps then (2) select HTML5 Scripts.
- When the app loads, be sure you are on (3) “Code” & (4) HTML-CSS.
- In the (5) HTML, box copy and paste the below text.
- <video src=”STREAM_URL_HERE” x-bs-stream-timeout=”0″ hwz=”on”> rtsp stream should appear here</video>
- In the (6) CSS box, copy and paste the below text.

- Lastly, (7) name your media something easy to attribute and then (8) click Save Media to save this to your media library.
