A failover schedule is designed to work when there are no other schedules currently assigned to a specific device. In this case, you are assigning content to display when your device currently has nothing else scheduled. In other words, think of it as a background or as default media if there is nothing else assigned to that device to display.
How to Assign This Type of Content
Log into your Xhibit Signage account to view your dashboard. Navigate over the “PUBLISH” tab and click “SCHEDULE & PUBLISH”. Once here you will find the failover schedule.
From here you can change your schedule type from Timed to Failover and select the content you wish to display during any off hours or when limited schedules are no longer valid.
- Once you have published your content, it will appear in your Schedule Library as such.
- Hover your cursor over the schedule’s status to see the schedule status.
- Once scheduled, this failover content will remain valid for all assigned devices. That is until you make further changes or set it to inactive.
