The Forex Board is a powerful and easy-to-use feature to create a professional-looking exchange rate for your digital signage display. FOREX is the global electronic marketplace for trading international currencies. In other words, large amounts of currency can be exchanged for equal value at another currency based on the market rate. When creating a FOREX Board in Mvix CMS, you can display real-time exchange rates (buy and sell rates) from over a dozen different currencies displayed on your digital signage to compare USD to your chosen currencies on an easy-to-read graph.
Who Can Use FOREX Board?
For financial institutions, especially those who work with foreign currency, knowing the current exchange rate is paramount to keeping your institution running smoothly.
The features offer customizable charts that work great for the following:
- Banks: Customers that are looking to trade need to know what currencies are being sold at and the exchange rate. Display FOREX Board currency exchange on customer-facing digital signage displays to reduce redundant inquiries and make the exchange process efficient.
- Airports and Train Stations: Consider displaying a FOREX Board next to your exchange counter. This will reduce the wait time as customers are traveling and need an efficient way to exchange money.
- Hotels: If you receive numerous international customers, displaying a FOREX Board will be helpful in communicating exchange rates. Display them in hotel lobbies, near wayfinding kiosks, or next to ATM machines.

What You’ll Need:
- A compatible digital signage player e.g. Mvix, BrightSign, etc.
- Mvix CMS Software with a supported feature package
- Internet Connectivity
- Access to the FOREX Board
If you meet the requirements listed above, simply follow the steps below.
Using the FOREX Board
- Hover over the “MEDIA” tab, and click “ADD MEDIA”.
- Click the “PREMIUM” category.
- Click the “FOREX Board” app.
- Choose a Theme to display your buy and sell rates.
- Choose the currency(ies) that can be brought and sold for your template. When you click, the currency on the left will appear on the right under “SELECTED CURRENCIES”. Please note that all currency conversion is in USD.
- Adjust the currency rates as necessary under “CURRENCY RATES”. Enter the buy and sell amounts for the currency selected. For example, AUD = Australian Dollar, CAD = Canadian Dollar, and BRL = Brazilian Real. You will enter the buy and sell amounts for each currency that was selected. Switch the toggle to green if it is a percentage.
- Under “BRANDING”
- Choose the template Text Color, Text Font, and Header Color.
- Under “ADVANCED SETTINGS”
- Enter the Header Title (can be your company name) and header logo.
- Change the animation duration (in seconds) on the profiles themselves. Some Themes come with animation, for example, a spinning half-circle, and you can change the duration of this animation as well.
- Choose how often you would like your FOREX Board to refresh (in seconds).
- To preview, click on the “PREVIEW” button.
- Name your media and click on the “SAVE MEDIA” button to save it to the Media Library.
