Playlists are an integral part of the digital signage experience. However, updating and keeping your content current can be a bit overwhelming and time-consuming, especially in larger deployments.
With Magic Folders, you’ll be able to update your digital signage playlists without needing to log into your CMS account directly from your OneDrive Account.
Tips & Tricks: This app is best used in an environment where you utilize playlists fairly often as well as have displays in multiple locations or different facilities.
What You’ll Need
- An Mvix CMS Account
- Internet Connectivity
- An Active Signature Care Plan
Connecting Your OneDrive Account to Mvix CMS
From the Mvix CMS dashboard, hover over the “Playlists” module and click “Magic Folders”.
If this is your first time accessing this app, you will need to connect to your MS Office 365 account before your files will sync.
(1) Click on the “Connect to MS Office 365” button and a login popup will appear. Fill out the required information to connect your account.
Once your account is connected, you will see the above window on Mvix CMS that will (2) list all available folders on your account.
To sync specific folders to a playlist, (3) check the folders you’d like to add then (4) click “Show Files”
You will then see all compatible files (5) on the Playlist Items window. Once you are satisfied with the playlist, (6) select a playlist order and (7) click “Save Playlist” to save this to your playlist library.
Now, whenever you add files to your chosen folders, Mvix CMS will auto-sync and update the playlist with any new or deleted files.
