JIBEI
JIBEI has two New York facilities, in Long Island and Queens, each serving two different audiences: students and visitors respectively. To improve engagement with the two audiences and offer highly targeted, relevant and coordinated information, JIBEI looked into investing in a visual communication solution that would create two distinct experiences from one platform.

Introduction
The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry (JIBEI) was founded in 1943 by members of New York’s electrical worker’s labor union and the electrical contracting industry. It aims to build goodwill within the electrical industry and address labor-management issues for electrical workers and contractors. Through its training & education and plans & benefits programs, JIBEI has benefited over 70,000 workers in New York’s electrical industry.
The Challenge
At the Long Island center where they offered continuing education classes and weekend seminars, JIBEI needed a welcome display in the lobby, a message board in the lounge, and a menu board in the cafeteria. The screens would display class listings and seminar agendas in addition to announcements and dynamic menus.
At the Queens headquarters, JIBEI needed a network of screens to showcase projects they’ve worked on e.g. Empire State Building and the World Trade Center, highlight important milestones, and display member, executive, and partner spotlights.
Deployment & Usage
Mvix worked with their AV partner, Adwar Video, to network 29 digital signage systems throughout the two facilities. Paul Armato of Adwar Video started with a thorough review of JIBEI’s needs, objectives, and ROI metrics. They also provided installation and system setup, making sure the digital signage network was well-integrated with JIBEI’s overall AV system.
The Mvix platform offered integration with JIBEI’s scheduling software to display automated event listings for seminars and classes as well as company-wide events such as board meetings, member appreciation events, and award ceremonies. JIBEI was also able to display digital information cards highlighting their projects, 4K videos of their members, executives, and partners, traffic information for students and visitors, and dynamic cafeteria menus.
Why It Worked
“We loved our first few displays, and when we decided to add more, we were really impressed with how the software could scale,” said Michael Yee, Director of JIBEI. “The software allowed us the flexibility to add and organize content without ever interrupting our normal workflow.”
